Fall/ Winter 2020
Hello,
Thank you for your continued trust as we navigate the COVID-19 crisis.
As with the transmission of any communicable disease like a cold or the flu, you may be exposed to COVID-19, also known as the “coronavirus”, at any time or any place. Be assured that we continue to follow state and federal regulations as well as recommended universal personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfection protocols to limit the transmission of all diseases in our office.
Despite our careful attention to sterilization, disinfection, and the use of personal barriers, there is still a chance that you could be exposed to an illness in our office, just as you might be exposed at your gym, grocery store, or your favorite restaurant. Nationwide social distancing has reduced the transmission of the coronavirus. Although we have taken measures to enable social distancing in our practice, due to the nature of the procedures we provide, it is not possible to maintain social distancing between the patient, dental healthcare team members and sometimes other patients at all times.
Some of the transmission reducing procedures we are implementing include:
- Patient check-in while waiting in the car for your dental appointment. Please call us when you arrive.
- Patients wearing masks in office until dental work is initiated.
- Extraoral hi-volume suction units with HEPA filters to aid in minimizing dental aerosols during procedures.
- Electronic filters in our heating and cooling system to aid in reducing airborne pathogens.
- Air disinfecting purifier using photocatalytic oxidation in our reception area.
- Barriers at the front office to reduce spatter.
- COVID-19 health/temperature screening questionnaire.
- Special appointment times for high-risk patients.
It is our goal to make you feel comfortable and confident in your dental visit. We are looking forward to seeing you soon.
Drs. Chris and Mary Chrysler
